Share status of 27,000 MoUs inked during your regime: JMM to Das
Ranchi: The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Monday asked BJP’s national vice-president and former chief minister Raghubar Das to make public the implementation status of the memoranda of understanding (MoUs) which the Jharkhand government signed with businessmen and companies during his tenure as the chief minister.
“Over 27,000 MoUs were signed by the Jharkhand government during his tenure as the chief minister. He must tell the public how many of those MoUs, which were signed in various groundbreaking ceremonies across the state, have fructified,” JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said.
JMM’s attack on Das came a day after the BJP leader visited the newly built Ranchi Cancer Care and Research Centre in Kanke.
The hospital, built by Tata Trusts, was inaugurated by chief minister Hemant Soren last month.
During his visit to the hospital, Das reminded that the hospital’s foundation stone was laid by him when he was the CM.
The JMM said the former CM’s assertions were parts of the BJP’s bigger ploy to hide their failures and take credit for the achievements of the non-BJP governments. “All this is happening when Manipur is burning. The BJP national leaders are turning a blind eye to the violence. Even BJP president J P Nadda held a rally about 100 km from Manipur, but did not utter a word about the violence,” Bhattacharya said.
