Cows scare away tiger in dramatic encounter at Bhopal's Kerwa. Video goes viral

A herd of cows in Bhopal's Kerwa chased away a tiger that attacked an injured cow, forming a protective shield around it.

In a shocking incident on Sunday, a herd of cows was seen chasing away a tiger at a farm in Bhopal's Kerwa. The incident took place after the tiger attacked a cow, which followed other cows in the herd to form a protective shield around the injured animal, which scared the tiger away.

According to a report by NDTV, the incident was captured by CCTV cameras outside a bull farm. The report states that the preying tiger was at the scene for around 3 hours but was unable to attack the injured cow because the herd formed a protective cover. The injured cow is reportedly receiving treatment and is in a critical condition.

In another tiger incident on Sunday, a 60-year-old man named Sundarlal Banarasi was killed by a tiger in the Mhow area of Madhya Pradesh's Indore district. According to a report in the Free Press Journal, Sundarlal was a shepherd in Malendi village in Mhow tehsil. The report claims that he was attacked by the tiger while taking his animals to graze in the forest.

According to the report, the tiger attacked Sundarlal and dragged him more than 200 metres to eat half of his body. The report claims that even more than hours after the attack, the Forest Department team was unable to capture the wild animal and that the tiger may have entered the Army War College on Monday.

A Times of India report quoted DFO Narendra Pandwa as confirming that the tiger was responsible for the death of Sundarlal Banarasi, along with two cattle and a nilgai.

“As per its behavior, the young tiger, which entered Mhow via neighboring Khargone’s Barwaha forest, is around 4.5 years old. It is likely to be making its territory around Mhow in Indore’s jungle while there are high chances of it receiving the injury on its back infighting with another tiger somewhere in the neighboring district" TOI quoted DFO Narendra Pandwa as saying
