The government of Uttar Pradesh is creating ‘Youth Tourism Clubs’ that consist of teachers and students of learning institutes to attend to tourists and aid them and make them familiar with the traditional and historical places of the state.
No less than 25 pupils and two teachers are involved in every single club shaped by the District Tourism and Culture Council.
Associates of the club would be known as ‘Paryatan Mitra’ or tourism friend. They would work on a fully
charitable basis and would be educated regarding tourist spots and the history behind them.
Club members would deliver info to the visitors regarding tourist spots and handiness of amenities.
They would also check out points of support, hygiene and safety of the tourist sites.
According to Mukesh Kumar Meshram, the Principal Secretary to the department of tourism and culture,
UP, this is an important enterprise to utilize the influence of the youth to encourage tourism and the
government has particularly given youth a ‘Tourism Campaign.’ More than 1500 youth tourism clubs have
been fashioned by the tourism division and 32,308 tourism helpers have been chosen.
Right now, the course of recommending tourism friends is happening on a huge scale.
The UP government is thinking to hold photography, selfie contests, cycling trips, heritage walk and local
tours by associates of these clubs.
Besides this, doings like writing essays, painting, quiz, poster creation, responsiveness campaign, theatrical
adaptation, debate, acting, conversation, community interaction and traditional programs among others
would also be carried on.
