Lexus Granito(down 2.79%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.71%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.23%), Pokarna(down 0.63%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.45%) and MOIL(down 0.09%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 61.25 points up at 18816.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 159.4 points at 63327.7.
Tata Motors(up 3.04%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.74%), HCL Technologies(up 2.73%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.32%), Eicher Motors(up 1.87%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.41%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.26%), SBI Life(up 1.16%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.07%) and Axis Bank(up 0.95%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 1.86%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.36%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.98%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.61%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.52%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.43%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.42%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.35%), UPL Ltd(down 0.31%) and UltraTech Cement(down 0.3%) closed in the red.
