1 more Balasore accident victim from Bihar dies

PATNA: A 32-year-old Bhagalpur youth, who was undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Cuttack after the train accident in Balasore, died on Saturday, taking the toll from Bihar to 54.
The state government on Saturday has sent another batch of officers to Odisha to assist the injured people and their attendants from Bihar.
Disaster management department joint secretary Hari Narayan Paswan, who is part of the state team, said the deceased, identified as Sohim Mansoor of Bhagalpur, had received multiple injuries. His body was handed over to his family to be brought to Bihar. "Altogether 44 patients were admitted to this Cuttack hospital and three of them died while 12 are undergoing treatment. Rest went back home," Paswan said, adding three of the injured are in the ICU. "We have been meeting the victims and the family," said Paswan.
He further said they will be visit AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on Sunday to meet the injured from Bihar undergoing treatment there. When asked about the missing person, if any, Paswan replied, "One person from Darbhanga has not been traced. His family has been asked for a DNA test."
State disaster response force (SDRF) commandant Mohammad Faroghuddin and Development Management Institute's assistant director Vivek Kumar have also been camping in Odisha for the last two days.
