Thiruvananthapuram: The IGNITE internship programme for graduates and candidates, organised at Kollam Technopark on Saturday, witnessed the participation of 12 companies and more than 150 candidates. Out of the 78 candidates who were shortlisted, six received an internship offer on spot.
The programme offers selected candidates the opportunity to undertake a six-month internship at various IT/ITES companies located in major IT parks of
Kerala, including Technopark, Infopark, and Cyberpark. Successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 or more, which includes a government subsidy of Rs 5,000.
The second edition of the IGNITE internship fair, hosted by Kerala IT Parks was inaugurated by Technopark CEO, Sanjeev Nair. He emphasised the abundance of talent in Kerala and highlighted that the IGNITE internship programme aims to enhance and equip candidates for the IT industry. He further talked of the ongoing discussions with the Tourism Department to elevate Kollam Technopark as a workstation destination.
