Errolla srinivas, the chairman of TSMSIDC, was also present. The Kanti Velugu programme, started under the visionary leadership of the chief minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, harish rao said, aims to provide preventative measures and eradicate blindness in Telangana. He also extended his congratulations to the dedicated ASHA and ANM workers.

He praised the initiatives organisers, including public representatives, the health department, and other ministries. He thanked the chief minister for taking a caring and proactive stance in putting the programme that provides free eye exams and eyeglasses to individuals into action. The programme tested a remarkable 161 million people throughout the State with a focus on preventive eye care. A total of 40.59 lakh of them, or 25.1%, were determined to be visually impaired. While 18.08 lakh people have received free prescription glasses, 22.51 lakh people have received free reading glasses.

In order to ensure that eye screenings are finished throughout Telangana, harish rao advised the officials to maintain the same commitment and enthusiasm in the remaining nine districts as they did in the 24 districts where Kanti Velugu has been completed. The Kanti Velugu Scheme was introduced by the State government with the goal of eradicating eye-related problems and ensuring the welfare of every resident. The second part of the programme began as a 100-working-day effort on january 18 in recognition of the rising prevalence of visual impairments as a result of lifestyle changes and other work stresses.

According to a press release, the DMHOs, Deputy DMHOs, Programme Officers, Medical Officers, Ophthalmologists, Supervisors, Nurses, Ashas, Data Entry Operators (DEOs), panchayati Raj and Municipal officials, as well as the committed public representatives, are all responsible for the Kanti Velugu program's success.
