Auto-driver shot dead at Danapur

PATNA: Unidentified criminals entered the house of an auto-driver and shot him dead in Janakdhari Lal road area under Danapur police station in Patna on Saturday morning.
The criminals fled from the spot waving their weapons in the air. The deceased was identified as Akhtar Khan alia Kumkum (50).
SHO Samrat Deepak said locals informed the police about the incident. After which a police team reached the spot and sent the body to the Danapur sub-divisional hospital for postmortem.
"Akhtar used a drive an autorickshaw on rent. No one was in the house of the deceased at the time of the incident. His wife and children had gone to New Delhi. The family members have been informed about his death," SHO said.
