BJP holds rally, sounds election bugle for 2024
Ludhiana: The saffron party has kicked off its preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with a rally at the Grain market on Gill road here on Saturday. Union health minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, BJP national secretary Dr Mahendra Singh, Punjab BJP president Ashwani Sharma and other party leaders kept forth the achievements of the nine years of the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party in front of the public.
In his address, Mandaviya said that the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was dedicated to form a new India and for the welfare of the poor, over the last nine years. “The PM was focused on development of every sector and every citizen, irrespective of cast, creed or religion. Since assuming office in 2014, Modi has remained steadfast in his resolve to project an India-First vision in every policy formulation and implementation,” he said.
The Union minister said this concept was clearly visible in the government’s solutions for external and internal security, economic management, empowerment schemes for marginalized groups, cultural conservation efforts etc. He talked about works like record vaccination of population against Covid-19, highest-ever exports in the history of the country, digital revolution across India, electrification of rural areas, world-class infrastructure, and other works.
Mahender Singh said that ever since the formation of the NDA government, the country has been touching new heights. He said Ludhiana has been included under the Smart City Mission, and other projects like Ladowal National Highway have been gifted to Punjab.
