A Partygate video has gone viral on social media platforms which shows that Tory staff was drinking, dancing, and joking about lockdown laws during the coronavirus restrictions. It is said that the video was shot on December 14, 2020, when socializing was banned in parts of the United Kingdom.

In the visuals, it can be seen that the staff members were joking about their Christmas party at the Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) in London breaking the Covid-19 rules, according to a report published by The Mirror.

The report also stated that formal disciplinary action was taken against the staff members involved in the party over an unauthorized party.

Last year also, several photos of the party emerged but police dismissed the investigation due to lack of evidence at the time. However, the video has added further evidence of the celebrations during theCovid-imposed lockdown.

“As long as we don’t stream that we’re like, bending the rules," One attendee was heard saying in the video. After this, he laughed and a man along with a woman started dancing.

A social media user also shared the video on the microblogging site and said, “Tories face new Partygate police probe as previously unseen footage shows staff boozing, dancing and mocking lockdown laws at height of Covid. At least 24 revelers include two named on Johnson’s controversial resignation honors list."

The celebrations came just a few days after Boris Johnson announced the implementation of Tier 4 Covid-19 curbs on December 19. The Mirror reported that at least 24 guests were present at the Christmas gathering.

Labor deputy leader Angela Rayner slammed the staff members over organizing a party during Covid rules.

“Revellers openly mocked the rules the British people followed. The Tories think it’s one rule for them and one rule for everyone else. Instead of forcing them to face the consequences, Rishi Sunak has caved into Boris Johnson and chosen to reward them with honors. It’s a sickening insult," she told The Mirror.
