Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra on Sunday reacted to a recent photo on Twitter in which Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault, the two richest people in the world were seen at lunch together. Anand Mahindra posed a hilarious question on the photo which left his followers wondering about the answer.
While re-tweeting the picture of Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault, Anand Mahindra said, "My wife was wondering who paid for the lunch…Elon Musk."
Elon Musk is the richest individual on the planet right now with a net worth of $236.9 billion, according to Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires List while Louis Vuitton Founder-CEO Bernard Arnault is closely following behind with a net worth of $233.4 billion.
The question by Anand Mahindra left social media users wondering about the answer with some claiming that it must be free as the two tycoons are giving free advertising to the restaurant. “Compliments of the restaurant this is like free advertising for them 2 of the richest," one user said.
“The restaurant doesn't need to advertise for the next 5yrs now. World media will do it for them for free. Paisa Vasool just because they dropped at their restaurant. In fact, this restaurant might even become a tourist destination," another user said.
The social media users were not only concerned about the lunch and the photograph, but they also thought about what might have prompted the meeting between the two billionaires.
