Youth injured in attack

Ludhiana: A youth was seriously injured in an attack by a group of unidentified miscreants in Kauri village in Khanna. Meanwhile, police have started the process to register a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder).
The incident occurred when the victim — Sukhbir Singh Sukha of Kauri village — was going to his workplace, claimed his brother Daljit Singh. The miscreants, who were carrying iron rods, attacked Sukhbir, leaving him with multiple injuries. Sukhbir fractured his leg and arm in the attack.
According to sources close to the Sukhbir’s family, the attack might be a result of old enmity with some people in village. Meanwhile, a CCTV camera has captured the assault. tnn
