Telangana University's Executive Council (EC) has decided to reassign Prof. M. Yadagiri, of the department of commerce, to his position as university registrar. According to the minutes of the 57th ec meeting, which was held here on friday without the participation of TU Vice Chancellor Prof. D Ravinder and was presided over by Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical education Navin Mittal, the ec also decided to file criminal charges against professors K shiva Shankar, B vidya Vardhini, and L Nirmala Devi, all of whom were appointed as registrars by the TU VC without the EC's consent.

The ec asserted that their appointments as registrars also violated the telangana Universities Act of 1991 and the 53rd ec resolution. The decision was made at the meeting to ask the Commissioner of Nizamabad, the DGs of Vigilance and Enforcement, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, and the Vigilance and Enforcement Directorate to look into any unauthorised promotions, unlawful appointments, or theft of university funds.
