3-yr-old girl electrocuted while playing

Surat: A three-year-old daughter of a textile businessman died on Friday while playing in the society’s garden after she touched a wet iron frame on the gate of the garden which had got electrified accidentally. The incident took place at Shyam Srushti Apartment in Godadara where she lived and was playing with around 30 other children. A resident used a cricket bat to separate the girl from the frame. After she was separated, the minor had fainted and was rushed to a hospital by her uncle, Kanaiyalal Soni, where docs declared her dead on arrival. Preliminary investigation revealed that the electricity cable or joint supplying power to the LED light installed on the frame got damaged and electricity leaked into the iron frame. tnn
