Rs 4 lakh cash stolen in Katargam GIDC

SURAT: In an incident of theft in an office of Katargam GIDC, two thieves stole Rs 4 lakh in cash and a mobile from a drawer after entering the office premises by cutting iron grills.
Katargarm police has started investigation based on CCTV installed in the office as the duo can be seen entering the office. Complainant Sandip Sakhwala (38), who owns an embroidery parts’ unit in Katargam GIDC, said that he got a call from his employee Ishan Jashani early on June 7 morning that the iron grills over the staircase of the office were broken.
Jashani also informed Sandip that the drawers of the office are also open. Sakhwala rushed to office and checked CCTV and saw two persons entering the premises at 2.45am in the morning.
