Cyclone Biparjoy: Narrow escape for man as massive tree falls on him in Vadodara

Several trees were uprooted as Cyclone Biparjoy wreaked havoc in Gujarat. An elderly man had a brush with death as a massive tree fell on him in Vadodara on June 16. He was rescued with promptness by fire brigade team and rushed to hospital. Heavy rain and gusty winds caused destruction in coastal areas of Gujarat on June 15. Trees were uprooted and properties were damaged in several parts of the state. Uprooted trees, waterlogging were witnessed in several areas of Bhuj after Biparjoy’s landfall. Cyclone Biparjoy’s intensity reduced from 'very severe' to 'severe' category after its landfall. As per IMD, Cyclone Biparjoy is weakening and it will convert into depression by the evening of June 16.
