Kerala: ABVP workers protest outside VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi over alleged organ trade case

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) workers in Kerala’s Kochi held a protest march to VPS Lakeshore Hospital on June 17. The protest march was over their demand to initiate a probe against the doctors involved in the alleged organ trade at the hospital.Meanwhile, Kerala Police detained protesters after using water cannons and even adhered to lathi charge. Earlier, nine doctors of VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi received legal notice after a complaint under the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994 was registered.
