The accused father, identified as Ravi Kumar, is on the run. Superintendent of police (Kaushambi) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava told TOI, “Two police teams have been engaged to ensure the arrest of accused father.” SP, however, said that the incident took place when the father in an inebriated state, snatched the infant from his mother’s lap and hit him on ground. Three days back, Ravi visited his in-laws and brought his son (infant) back alone claiming that his mother, sister and other family members would be able to take care of him (infant).
On Thursday late night, Ravi exchanged heated arguments with his family members over some issue and snatched the infant from his mother’s lap and hit him on ground which resulted his death on the spot. The accused escaped from the house.
