'In 1971 war, few countries denied equipment supply': Rajnath Singh calls for self-reliance in defence sector

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended a defence dialogue on ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ organised by STRIVE in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow on June 17. While addressing the public, he said that Self-reliance in the defence sector is a significant step to making a nation powerful. “Self-reliance of the defence sector is a major step to make a nation powerful. In the 1971 war, when we were in need of defence equipment, few countries denied the supply,” said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
