Adipurush is eying a bumper opening at the box office with trade experts predicting the film could do a business of more than ₹80 crore on its opening day. T-Series, the banner behind the Om Raut-directed film, opened the film's advance booking on Sunday and theatre owners say the response has been beyond expectations.
"The advance booking is great, it is on par with any big film, like how it was in the case of 'Pathaan'. We hope the film will earn ₹25 crore in Hindi and overall, the film should do over ₹80-100 crore on the opening day," Exhibitor and distributor Sunny Chandiramani told PTI.
‘Adipurush’ is based on the epic Ramayana. Prabhas is seen as Lord Ram, Sunny Singh plays Lakshman, and Kriti Sanon plays Sita in the movie. Saif Ali Khan will portray the mythical demon ruler Ravan in the film. The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
