Cops act against 367 traffic violators on Kalyan-Shil Road in three hours
KALYAN: In a major action against traffic violators on Kalyan-Shil Road — which is an important connector between Navi Mumbai and Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and Badlapur — the Kolsewadi division of Thane traffic police in Maharashtra fined or challaned 367 people within three hours.

The action was aimed on normalisation of traffic on Kalyan-Shil Road, which has always seen heavy crowds.
The 367 people violated traffic rules without helmets, seat belts, jumping signals, breaking signals, driving without license and other violating traffic rules.
A fine of around Rs 4,15,900 was imposed and out of this Rs 25,000 was recovered on the spot.
Senior police inspector of Kolsewadi traffic division in Ravindra Kshirsagar said, "The action was taken on important chowks on Kalyan-Shil Road that includes Lodha Palava chowk, Katai chowk, Badlapur Chowk from 11.00am to 2pm under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act."
