Dumka: The Hemant Soren government has been busy exploiting the mineral resources of the state for the benefit of his own family and those of the allies, said former chief minister of Rajasthan
Vasundhara Raje Scindia as she addressed a massive public meeting at a Kairabani-based high school ground under Dumka parliamentary constituency on Wednesday to mark the completion of the nine years of
Narendra Modi government at the centre.
The Maha Jansampark Abhiyan the month long campaign of the BJP to connect with the electorates throughout the country is largely being viewed in the backdrop of the readiness for the 2024 general elections.
With the saffron party aiming at sailing through in the general elections for the third consecutive term the ongoing campaign assumes equal significance in Jharkhand in terms of the assembly polls to be held in the tribal heartland the same year.
“The Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led BJP government facilitated the creation of Jharkhand with a view to benefiting local people from the vast mineral resources available in the state but the Hemant Soren government has been busy exploiting the same for the benefit of his own family and those of the other allies," Scindia stated, adding Jharkhand remained infamous throughout the country due to rampant corruption.
"The corruption in Jharkhand is as much deep rooted ever since the Hemant Soren government was formed that top ranking bureaucrats are behind the bar and chief minister Hemant Soren himself is under the scanner for allotment of mining leases in his favour by misusing his authority," Scindia said who also questioned the Congress and other alliance parties of the ruling government of the state.
While highlighting the work undertaken by the Central government during the last nine years Scindia said it was the need of the hour to let Prime Minister Narendra Modi continue for subsequent terms.
"I am optimistic that the BJP will bag all the 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand in the next general elections. Yet the BJP cadres are supposed to highlight among the electorates the work undertaken by the Modi government for the uplift of the marginal section of the society," said Scindia who was accompanied by the agriculture minister of Gujarat.
Prominent among others who also addressed the meeting included Dumka BJP MP Sunil Soren, former minister and Sarath (Deoghar) BJP MLA Randhir Singh and former ministers Satyananda Jha (Batul) and Lois Marandi.
Earlier, Scindia addressed a similar public meeting in Deoghar on Tuesday to mark the beginning of her Jharkhand visit when she lauded the contribution of Godda BJP MP Nishikant Dubey in developing his Lok Sabha constituency. Be it the matter of the establishment of AIIMS and airport in Deoghar or introduction of rail connectivity otherwise considered to be a far cry, the BJP is to bag this seat for the third consecutive term undoubtedly, Scindia remarked who will attend an event in Giridih on Thursday.
