Woman hatches conspiracy to kill husband, arrested

PRAYAGRAJ: A woman along with her lover was arrested by Pratapgarh police on Wednesday on the charges of plotting and killing her husband near Bariyawa village on June 11, police said.
Those arrested were Shivkumari (wife of slain Horilal) and Subhash Yadav, residents of Hamidpur Badagav (Rai Bareily) and Bariyawa (Nawabganj-Pratapgarh) respectively.
Police said the body of Horilal was found near Bariyawa village under the limits of Nawabganj police station. An FIR under sections 302 and 201 of IPC was lodged with the police station concerned.
During probe police scanned phone call details of his wife and her lover and discovered the plot hatched by the duo.
The duo was arrested near Barai Ka Purva on Prayagraj-Lucknow highway while planning to escape from the town.
Police have also seized a sharp edge weapon used in the killing and a mobile from the possession of the accused.
Subhash told police that he was frequent visitor to Shivkumari's house and used to talk for long hours on mobile. He also revealed that deceased's wife had hatched the conspiracy to kill her husband they wanted to stay together.
