Toyota Motor Corp. Chairman Akio Toyoda became a political target last year when he said a “silent majority” in the auto industry questioned whether electric vehicles should be the only consumer option. A silent majority of investors on Wednesday demonstrated tacit agreement by rejecting the climate lobby’s attempt to oust him.
