MC razes 8 illegal structures

Ludhiana: With an aim to free its land near Rose Garden from encroachers, the municipal corporation (MC) organised a demolition drive and razed eight illegal structures from the site. The MC officials said a few residents had encroached upon the MC’s vacant land near Rose Garden and had established concrete structures there.
Despite being issued warnings, they failed to vacate the land measuring around 300 square yards. ATP Pardeep Sehgal said the drive was organised on the directions of MC chief Shena Aggarwal. The MC team conducted the drive on Wednesday and took back the possession of the land. tnn
