When groom rides earthmover to wedding

Ranchi: A marriage procession, which took place on the outskirts of Ranchi earlier this week, has become an internet sensation after a 26-year-old florist arrived at his own wedding in an earthmover machine.
Krishna Mahto, a resident of Adarsh Nagar in Tatisilwai, tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Arti Kumari on the night of June 12. The marriage was solemnized at Arti’s home in Chatra Basti under Namkum block of Ranchi district.
“I work as a florist and have decorated the cars of hundreds of grooms. I often wondered how my wedding procession would look like. I wanted to do it a bit differently,” Krishna told reporters after the wedding.
Krishna stumbled upon the idea recently as he zeroed in on the thought that unlike conventional wedding processions (Baraat) where a groom is at the tail end of his convoy, he would be at the front. However, Krishna and his entourage started brainstorming on ideas to make their short journey comfortable. “Accordingly, mattresses were fitted at the excavator at the front of the earthmover and was decorated with flowers, ensuring a smooth ride,” he added.
