NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at a coaching institute in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar on Thursday afternoon.
The incident took place at Sanskriti coaching centre, located in Gyana building near Batra cinema.
Soon after the fire, those stuck inside the institute were seen trying to escape using wires.
Total 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
"All persons have been rescued from the building. Fire fighting operation has been concluded," said Delhi fire department.
"A few students received injuries as they were escaping from the building where the fire broke out today. No person is trapped in the building. The fire broke out in the electricity meter of the building. Panic caused due to rising smoke," news agency ANI quoted Suman Nalwa, PRO, Delhi Police, as saying.
