The perfect Christmas present for Luton fans will see Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle all come to town in that month.

It starts with a midweek visit from the Gunners on December 5, followed by Pep Guardiola's reigning champions making the trip from Manchester on the weekend of December 9.

Just days before Christmas, on December 23, Eddie Howe's high-flying Newcastle visit Kenilworth Road.

To see out 2023, Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea will be heading to Luton on December 30.

Kenilworth Road is a throwback football stadium that is nestled between Victorian housing, plenty has been made of their away entrance that is through someone's back garden.

Its capacity is just 10,356 and pales in comparison to the Premier League norm.

There are a number of issues that need to be addressed to get the stadium up to the minimum standard required for the top flight.

New floodlights are needed and more space must be made for broadcasters, while the Bobbers Stand effectively has to be rebuilt.

It has been estimated that the cost of completing the work will be around £10million, softened by the riches that will come their way from getting promotion.

CEO Gary Sweet told talkSPORT that work started just hours after they won promotion through the Championship play-offs.
