Fortune ranks this Greater Cincinnati place among best in Ohio for families


Queen City residents already know Greater Cincinnati is an ideal place to raise a family, and now the rest of the nation knows it too.
West Chester Township was ranked 13th overall in Fortune's 2023 Best Places to Live for Families list, coming in just behind Round Rock, Texas, and ahead of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Cambridge, Massachusetts, was ranked first, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, came in second.

No other Ohio cities made the list, but one city each in Kentucky and Indiana was featured. Georgetown, Kentucky, took the No. 32 spot, and Lawarence, Indiana, was ranked No. 41.
To determine its rankings, Fortune evaluated approximately 1,900 cities, towns, suburbs, villages, and townships with roughly 20,000 residents across all 50 states based on five categories: education, aging resources, general wellness, financial health, and livability.

According to the study, the cities featured on the list "share a range of qualities that can act as antidotes to loneliness." Fortune reports that for the first time, the 2023 list highlights the best place to live in each state.
