Coimbatore man arrested for duping job aspirant of electronic gadgets, money
COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore city police have arrested a 34-year-old man for duping a job aspirant of a laptop, a mobile phone and Rs 6,000 in cash.
R Dinesh, 32, of Namakkal district came to Coimbatore for an interview two months ago. He got introduced to T Manoraj of Annur who too had turned up for the same interview.
A few days later, Manoraj contacted Dinesh and told him that there was a job vacancy in an IT company. He told him that one needs to have a laptop of his own with suitable applications to get the job. He promised him to help him with the app installations for a charge of Rs 10,000.
Dinesh handed over his laptop, phone and Rs 6,000 (as advance for installation) to Manoraj on May 25 but he did not give the gadgets back and cheated him.
The Kattoor police registered a case against Manoraj on Wednesday and arrested him.
