He said the fact that the budgeted allocations for the sector increased from Rs 2,100 crore in 2014 to Rs 12,367 crore in 2023–24 was evidence that the State government had given the medical and health sector top priority. With a focus on providing individuals with high-quality care, the State's bed count was raised from 17,000 to 50,000. Aside from this, he added, 550 tonnes worth of combined oxygen production plants were established without assistance from the Centre.

After laying the foundation for the 2000-bed Dashabdi Block at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here, the chief minister spoke. The State government granted administrative approval of Rs 1,571 crore to build the block, which is being undertaken as part of the NIMS expansion project. Additionally, he formally began the distribution of kcr Nutritional Kits throughout all districts.
He emphasized that the health department was the most crucial department and that it needed to be active and live all the time. He added that the government was focusing on the need to address the issue of stunted growth in children caused by hunger and other problems. For a given race to overcome such issues, it takes around 100 years. According to him, the primary goal of starting the campaign to distribute nutritional kits was to ensure the well-being of expectant mothers and the development of unborn children inside the mother's womb.

Institutional deliveries had increased from 30% to 70% as a result of the kcr Kits' successful adoption. He claimed that as a result, the State's rates of maternal and infant mortality have also significantly decreased.

The chief minister reminded the health workers, particularly top officials and doctors, not to relax towards giving committed service to the people, noting that the number of beds in NIMS was increased from 900 before the State's establishment to 1,500 at the moment.

The chief minister requested that the health department further enhance its long-term planning for providing people with high-quality care. In addition to this, he stated that the department's public relations needed to be strengthened in order to better inform the public about the services being provided.

He added that the health department should become the top department in the State and that the pursuit of greatness never ceases. He recalled the great care provided by gandhi Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic and claimed the hospital's medical staff had helped many patients who were in serious condition. Chandrashekhar Rao added, "The kind of service you (the employees at gandhi Hospital) provided during the pandemic has boosted the status of telangana State.
