Jaipur: Following directions of National Medical Commission (NMC), the Sawai Man Singh medical college has issued strict orders to faculty members and senior residents for marking their attendance through Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
The AEBAS will ensure that the faculty members and senior residents are coming on duties on time.
A college official said that it has been directed that all the faculty members have to ensure that they mark their attendance as per the direction received from the NMC.
Apart from faculty members of SMS medical college and attached hospitals, senior resident doctors will also have to mark their attendance through AEBAS. The college was experiencing some technical problems in biometric machines earlier, but now that has been resolved.
The college will send a report of those faculty members and senior resident doctors who are found not marking their attendance in AEBAS for necessary action against them.
In an order issued by the administration, it has been mentioned that such orders have been issued earlier but they have not been followed, due to which the progress of recognition of courses has been hampered. TNN
