Wimbledon 2023: What has been said?
Djokovic has insisted he is not finished winning Grand Slam titles ahead of his trophy defence at Wimbledon this year.
Speaking after his French Open win, he said: “I have a lot of relief now. I am very proud, very happy to do that in front of the most important people in my life.
“Now I want to win Wimbledon. Before Wimbledon, I am going to celebrate with my team and family. I am very motivated to continue and make history. I am not finished in my career.”
Wimbledon 2023: Prize money
The All England Club have announced that a total of £44.7million will be on offer at Wimbledon this year.
The winners of the Men’s and Women’s singles are set to receive 17.5% more than they did in 2022.
Djokovic will pocket £2.35 million if he retains his title, with prize money returning to levels they were at before the Coronavirus pandemic.
Even players who lose in the first round will receive a hefty amount as they are guaranteed to take home £55,000.
