Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:11AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 8.90%), Agro Phos(up 5.54%), G S F C(up 4.10%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 3.99%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 3.97%), Bohra Industries(up 3.39%), Madras Fertlizers(up 2.89%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.86%), Aries Agro(up 2.83%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.59%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries(down 2.26%) and Paradeep Phosphates(down 1.28%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 9.25 points up at 18725.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 23.64 points at 63119.52 at around 11:11AM.

TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 4.09%), JSW Steel(up 2.6%), Tata Steel(up 1.62%), NTPC(up 1.13%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.03%), Grasim Industries(up 0.88%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.83%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.72%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.71%) and Reliance Industries(up 0.68%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.43%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.89%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.86%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.81%), ICICI Bank(down 0.64%), Infosys(down 0.62%), Axis Bank(down 0.55%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.54%), Cipla(down 0.51%) and Titan Company Ltd(down 0.36%) were trading in the red.
