Jyoti Structures(down 4.79%), Suzlon Energy(down 4.64%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 3.79%), RTNPOWER(down 3.53%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.06%), Energy Development Company(down 1.78%), Adani Transmissions(down 1.76%), GE Power India Limited(down 1.60%), Torrent Power(down 1.08%) and Adani Power(down 0.95%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 39.75 points up at 18755.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 85.35 points at 63228.51.
TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 5.2%), Tata Steel(up 2.38%), Grasim Industries(up 2.38%), JSW Steel(up 2.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.75%), Tata Motors(up 1.44%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.41%), Reliance Industries(up 1.23%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 1.17%) and Nestle India(up 1.05%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 0.98%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.97%), Axis Bank(down 0.83%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.77%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.71%), Eicher Motors(down 0.57%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.54%), ICICI Bank(down 0.4%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.39%) and Infosys(down 0.34%) closed in the red.
