The National Thermal Power Corporation’s (NTPC) North Karanpura plant has constructed six additional classrooms at the government-run Simaria Degree College as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) to support education and improve infrastructure for students in Chatra district.
NTPC’s North Karanpura PRO Mohini said, “The classrooms were handed over to the college principal by Ujjawal Singh, Manager, CCD & Jeet Singh Sandhu, CSR Executive.”
In a communique issued on Tuesday, officials said that additional classrooms will help the college accommodate more students, expand enrolment & provide education to more people in the community. This will also help address overcrowding problem in the classrooms.
“This can have a positive impact on the reputation of the college and attract more students and qualified faculty members,” it said.
