Billionaire Anil Agarwal is celebrating an early Father's Day this year.
During his summer cleaning session, the Vedanta Group Chairman came across his childhood photo albums that evoked memories of his late father Dwarka Prasad Agarwal, who passed away in January 2020.
The mining baron took to social media to share the big box of memories with his fans. He said he had been rummaging through the albums and came across many black-and-white pictures of himself with his father.
"Today, during house cleaning, I found a box which had all our photo albums … it had a lot of black-and-white photos of me and my babuji ... in most of them, babuji was wearing his favourite blue coat and dhoti ... and I was just a little boy hiding behind him," he wrote in his post.
Recalling a special moment with his dad, the 69-year-old said that his father always got something with him when he returned home from work. "Father’s love is unique in its own way ... with a little scolding and a lot of love. I will always remember one special thing about Babuji... no matter what time he came home from work, he always got us something, from sweets to tangy anardana (aka dried pomegranate seeds that ease digestion)," he added.
He said that every day is Father's Day for him. "The people we love may not always be with us ... but their memories always stay with us in boxes and our hearts," he concluded his post.
When a user asked for some pictures of his father, the businessman promptly shared a childhood picture of himself with his 'Babuji'.
Last week, Agarwal shared his secret to happiness. In his post, he urged his 170.2K followers on Twitter to live life to the fullest.
"I have spent several years in the business world. I have come across many challenges and met many people. In all of this, one thing that has been my constant is enjoying life. Living life to the fullest brings the ultimate satisfaction. I am not this young man (from the picture) anymore, but feeling young is my secret to happiness … it is a beautiful way to remind ourselves that life is a gift worth celebrating. To all my young dreamers, chase your dreams but also chase the simple joys of life which make these dreams worth living for. with a little thumka and a warm smile, Anil," his tweet read.
