1 dead after SUV rams into check post in Ramgarh

RAMGARH: One person died and two others were injured after an SUV, which was on way to Bhurkunda from Sikidri in Ranchi, rammed into an old check post of the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) on Ramgarh-Patratu state highway on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Ghutua area under Barkakana police outpost in Ramgarh. Police said the injured have been admitted to a local hospital. The driver may have dozed off leading to the accident, they said.
The officer in-charge of Barkakana police outpost, Sashi Prakash, said, “An SUV hit a check post in Ghutua in Barkakana killing one person. The deceased has been identified as Bablu Bediya (24), while the injured are Ravi Bediya and Manish Bediya. Five persons were travelling in the car after attending a wedding party. Further probe is on.” TNN
