Citizens raise concerns over Cuncolim bus stand roof

Margao: The Cuncolim Civic and Consumer Forum (CCCF) has expressed concern that till date no repairs have been undertaken to the damaged roofing of the KTCL bus stand at Cuncolim.
In a letter addressed to South Goa collector Asvin Chandru A, CCCF has brought to his notice that the roofing sheets of the bus stand have been in a damaged condition for a very long time.
CCCF secretary Lorna Fernandes stated in the letter that though the situation was brought to the notice of the officials of the directorate of transport and the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd on many occasions during the meetings of the district road safety committee, no action has been taken on it.
“It was also proposed that an inspection be undertaken of the bus stand, besides the damaged roofing, the lack of signage, non-display of bus timings, etc, could also be addressed. However this inspection was also not undertaken,” Fernandes stated in the letter, urging for the collector’s urgent intervention.
