Bihar man found eating momos in Noida, 4 months after family presumed him dead

In a bizarre turn of events, a man from Bihar, who was presumed to dead for months by the family, was found alive in Noida eating momos.
Nishant Kumar, a resident of Bhagalpur, Bihar’s Naugachia had disappeared months ago, while he was attending a marriage function at his in-laws house.
Kumar had disappeared on January 31, 2023. His father Sachidanand Singh had alleged, Kumar was kidnapped by his in-laws.
Singh had filed a case in the Sultanganj police station against Kumar’s brother-in-law Ravi Shankar Singh and father-in-law Naveen Singh for abducting Kumar.
Ravi who was alleged to be the kidnapper of Kumar spotted Kumar eating momos at Sector 50, Noida.
As per Ravi, he spotted a man in a long beard and in ragged clothes, in an altercation with the momo stall owner begging for momos.
Ravi out of pity, then asked the vendor to give the beggar a plate of momos and later identified the beggar was none other than Kumar, who went missing months ago.
Ravi then immediately dialled 100 and took Kumar to a police station, the Sultanganj police station was later informed of the same.
The investigation is underway on how Kumar reached Delhi and to verify all the instances that took place, reports said, Kumar will be questioned in the court on how re reached Delhi.
Meanwhile, Ravi has claimed he and his family were harassed by Kumar’s family and they hope for the justice.
Ravi also alleged that they were in continuous torture from Kumar’s family, for which one of his passed away in shock as he couldn’t handle the grave allegations charged by Kumar’s family.
There are various incidents in the recent past, when family members lost for months and later presumed to be dead, have returned back to their homes or have been spotted in a location far away from their home state.

Daily wagers wait for DNA test results to claim their loved ones remains from Balasore train crash
Bijender Rishishar is one such daily wage worker from Purnea, Bihar who lost his young son in the deadly accident.

The Balasore train crash has been one of the worst train accident to have ever happened in the history of Indian railways. According to reports, 289 people died in the tragic crash, out of which 208 bodies have been identified and rest remains unidentified. There had been multiple claims on some bodies, after which the government had to resort to DNA sampling.
Bijender Rishishar is one such daily wage worker from Purnea, Bihar who lost his young son in the deadly accident. Rishishar had borrowed money to travel to Odisha, when he came to know about the death of his son Suraj Kumar.
Rishidhar identified the body at a mortuary at Bhubaneshwar’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) on June 5 on the basis of the Aadhar card found in Kumar’s wallet. A week has already passed but Rishidhar’s wait continues for the dead body of his son as authorities are waiting for the result of the DNA test before his body can be handed over to him.
Rishidahar said, he was told it would take 48 hours for the DNA test reports. Then he was told it would take two more days for the reports. The time period was increased to five days. He said a week has passed and he is still awaiting for the DNA results. He further added he is a daily wager and has not made any money in the last one week.
Ashok Rabi Das from West Bengal, similarly has been waiting for ten days to get the disfigured body of his brother Krishna. Krishna, 20-years-old and was returning from Bangalore. Das identified Krishna’s body on June 4 from the clothes he was wearing but he was not handed over the body and was asked for his blood sample for DNA testing. He said he had no idea why the DNA testing is taking so much time.
AIIMS Anatomy Professor Pravash Ranjan Tripathy said the process takes about 10-15 days, he said 75 blood samples have been sent for testing.

Farmers, khaps call-off protest hours after blocking Delhi-Rohtak Highway demanding Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s arrest, MSP legal guarantee among 23 others
The protest was organised by the Bharat Bhumi Bachao Sangharsh Samiti under the leadership of Ramesh Dalal.

On Wednesday, Farmers and some leaders of the khap called off a protest hours after the blockade of the Delhi-Rohtak national highway in Haryana’s Jhajjar district demanding on 25 key issues, including the arrest of former Wrestling Federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The protest was organised by the Bharat Bhumi Bachao Sangharsh Samiti under the leadership of Ramesh Dalal.
Dalal along with his entourage of farmer leaders, members of the outfit and Khap leaders of the adjoining districts had blocked the NH-9 in Jhajjar’s Bahadurgarh region.
The protest was later called-off stating the farmers were assured by the government that will hold talks in the upcoming three days.
Dalal spekaing to the reporters said, the strike is being called as Jhajjar DC Shakti Singh assured them about holding talks within the next three days on the demands made.
The Samiti had also called for a Haryana bandh today but majority of the districts across the state remains unaffected and normalisation is witnessed.
The protest at the Highway was a part of the Haryana Bandh call.
As a result of the highway blockade, a traffic congestion was witnessed in the highway with the number of commuters along with the stranded vehicles increasing, however ambulances were allowed to pass through.
Jhajjar Superintendent of Police (SP) Arpit Jain earlier told they were trying to pacify the protesters to lift the blockade and clear the traffic congestion.
The members of BBBSS are raising 25 demands which includes the arrest of former WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, justice for the protesting wrestlers, demands for farmers such as legal guarantee of crop MSP, loan waiver, land compensation and others.
Security forces along with police were deployed in large numbers in Bahadurgarh, Rohtak and areas adjoining.
The protest comes just a day after the protestors cleared off their protest site at Haryana’s Kurukshetra after were affirmed by the government on MSP for sunflower seed.

Manipur: 9 killed, 10 injured in fresh violence
As per the police, the suspected militants had carried professional weapons with them.

In a fresh violence erupted in the troubled Manipur, 9 people were killed and 10 were injured after an attack by the suspected militants in Imphal.
As per reports, at around 1 am on Tuesday, the suspected militants surrounded some villagers and attacked them that resulted to the death of many and some of were inured.
The villagers are said to be of the Khamelok area in the Imphal East, it also shares its borders with the Kangpoki district.
It is reported that cross-firing was also undertaken by the villagers.
As per the police, the suspected militants had carried professional weapons with them.
Imphal East SP Shivkant Singh, informed about the incident to the media and said the post-mortem is underway.
The injured in the attack have been admitted to a medical facility in Imphal.
Reports said, some Kuki militants in the clash hit state, who were involved in making bunkers in the Meitei neighborhood, got engaged in a clash with the security forces on Tuesday.
A gunfire exchange between the security personnel and the Kuki militants took place in the Phougakchao Ikhai area of the Bishnupur District.
Looking over the situation, to maintain peace, the district administration has ordered changes in the curfew hours and has cut it short by 9 hours in Imphal East and Imphal West.
Out of 16 districts in the state, 11 still remain in curfew along with the internet services that remains suspended in the entire clash hit state.
The state has been witnessing violence and clashes for more than a month now, since May 3 after a clash broke out following the Tribal Solidarity march that was organised to protest against the demand of Metei community to grant it the Scheduled Tribe (ST) status.
Hundreds of people have lost their lives in the ethnic clashes between the Kuki and Meitei community since the violence started a month ago. Reports state more than 300 people were injured in the violence.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier had embarked on a three-day visit to the hill state to take stock of the situation and re-establish the normalcy in the law and order situation.
Shah held meetings with state Chief Minister N Biren Singh, state cabinet ministers, senior officials of the state and people from various committees.
