ThinkStock PhotosNEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2237.68 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1779.61 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1501.50 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1458.96 crore), RIL(Rs. 1302.44 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1271.92 crore), Olectra Greentech(Rs. 895.94 crore), Zee Ent.(Rs. 893.33 crore), Tata Comm(Rs. 745.53 crore) and SBI(Rs. 727.00 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 114.65 points up at 18716.15, while BSE Sensex rose 418.45 points to 63143.16.
In the Nifty index, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.39 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.13 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.10 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.60 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
