Rasmus Hojlund has remained coy on a potential move to Manchester United as the Atalanta striker continues to be linked with a summer transfer.
talkSPORT understands that the 20-year-old is on the Red Devils' radar as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his attack.
It is believed that United are ready to ramp up their interest in the Denmark international, who is valued at £40million by the Serie A outfit.
Hojlund enjoyed a fine season in Italy where he helped Gian Piero Gasperini's side finish fifth in the table after scoring nine top-flight goals in 32 games.
And he also starred during the March international break where he scored a hat-trick in Denmark's Euro 2024 qualifier against Finland, before following that up with a double in the 3-2 defeat to Kazakhstan.
His form has led to speculation he could be departing Atalanta in the near future, with the player himself fuelling the rumours after signing with agency group SEG, who also represent Ten Hag.
Speaking ahead of his country's upcoming clashes against Northern Ireland and Slovenia, Hojlund was asked about switching agents.
To which he told Danish news outlet Tipsbladet: "It's a trial period and that's all I can say."
He then discussed United's interest in him where he admitted he is flattered, as he remarked: "It is a huge club.
"So I must have done something right if it’s rumoured they want me. We have to see what happens.

"I have found myself in a really good place here, so now we have to wait and see."
Along with Hojlund, United are also keen on Tottenham marksman Harry Kane, who has just a year left on his contract in north London.
But they face competition from Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti looking to bring in a suitable replacement for Karim Benzema.
