Jaipur: The ministerial employees have decided to call off their 64-day-long protest late in the evening on Monday after they reached an agreement with the state government over their demands.
The agreement was signed by department of personnel principal secretary Hemant Gera and president of
Rajasthan Ministerial Employees Federation Raj Singh Choudhary.
Earlier in the day, an eight-member delegation of ministerial employees met chief secretary Usha Sharma to discuss their demands. On the issues of increase in Grade Pay and upgrading to qualification for junior assistants to graduate level, the state government has decided to form a committee. The committee will submit its recommendations after examining the issues. The committee will have a dialogue with the representatives of Rajasthan Ministerial Employees Federation.
The issues of increase in the number of promotional posts of ministerial employees in the Panchayati
raj institutions and subordinate departments and creation of new posts in the revenue and education department will be done after proper examination. The total days of mass leave of the ministerial employees will be converted into PLs (privilege leaves).
