BJP all set to make corruption protest march successful
Jaipur: BJP is leaving no stone unturned to make the protest march against corruption in the state government’s social welfare schemes on Tuesday a success. Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore’s office is reaching out to all MLAs and MPs to ensure their presence in the march along with their supporters. The protest march will be the biggest event till now under the newly appointed leader of opposition and state president CP Joshi who wants to showcase the party as a ‘united’ house in the state.
“Since all the protest marches in Jaipur drew a negative picture with the absence of even city MLAs and leaders during former state president Satish Poonia’s reign, it gave an impression of a divided house. Both Rathore and Joshi not only wanted the protest to be a big success but also the presence of all invited leaders,” said a party source. Meanwhile, BJP’s CP Joshi, referring to earlier statement of Ashok Gehlot to declare Mangarh Dham as a national monument in Banswara if PM Modi fails to do so said, “Your (Gehlot) government at the centre was in power for many years since Independence. You have been an elected representative since 1980 and held positions like a minister in the central government and a three-time CM. What has prevented you from declaring the site as a national monument? It is only after PM Modi underlined the contribution of Mangarh and the tribals, that the Congress government woke up to the issue.”
