Beedi in KMCLU hostel food, probe ordered

Lucknow: A photo of beedi found in idli served in the hostel of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University (KMCLU) went viral on social media on Monday prompting the varsity to order a probe.
The photo was said to be of KMCLU’s Rani Laxmi Bai Girls’ hostel in which a burnt cigarette was found in the food after which students allegedly refused to have breakfast.
Vice chancellor prof NB Singh said: “We didn’t receive any complaint from girl students and the matter came to our notice after the picture was posted on various social media platforms. Taking cognizance of the event we have formed a committee to probe the matter.” TNN
