Launch owners to implement insurance for passengers

Vasco: The Mormugao Launch Owners Association (MLOA) held a meeting on Monday to decide on the execution of the insurance policy for every passenger as mandated by the Captain of Ports.
The MLPO said that though it will be a burden on launch owners, it will be implemented.
The association will decide the share of the insurance premium payable by each stakeholder after discussions with them.
“Two insurance companies, one from Mumbai and another from Goa, have approached launch owners,” said MLOA president Jose Philip D’Souza.
Another meeting will be held with stakeholders to iron out differences.
