TTD presents jewels to Vakulamatha at Peruru temple on its first anniversary
The Tirupati trust presented jewellery on behalf of Lord Venkateswara to his foster mother to mark the special occasion.
TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) presented special jewellery to Vakulamatha - the foster mother of Lord Venkateswara at the special temple dedicated to her at Peruru near Tirupati on Tuesday.
The Peruru temple which reached a dilapidated state a few years ago was taken up for renovation by the TTD and the renovated temple was inaugurated exactly an year ago.
On the occasion of the Peruru temple completing its first anniversary after renovation, the Tirupati trust presented jewellery on behalf of Lord Venkateswara to his foster mother to mark the special occasion.
TTD JEO V Veerabrahmam along with chief priest A Venugopala Deekshitulu and other officials carried two golden harams (necklaces) weighing 160 grams and presented the jewellery to the Vakulamatha temple.
