Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 96.15 points to 18697.65 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Suumaya Lifestyle, Sahana System, Rachana Infrastructu, GHCL Textiles and Sintex Plastics Tech, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 39 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 9 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, ITC, Titan Company, HUL and Nestle India were among top gainers, while HCL Tech, Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Bank, Adani Ports SEZ and M&M traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 345.7 points up at 63070.41 at 10:14AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Tobacco, Building Materials, Petrochemicals and Aquaculture sectors, while selling was visible in Trading, Real Estate, Airlines, Media & Entertainment and Term Lending Institutions sectors.
