Air Force personnel’s body found, kin accuse friend

Kanpur: Body of an Air Force personnel was found under mysterious circumstances on the highway near Khojaphool village in Kanpur Dehat district, on Monday.
The police have identified the deceased as Nitesh Tripathi (27), a resident of Thanwapur village under Baraur police station area of the district. The family members have accused Nitesh’s friends of killing and throwing the body.
Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Pandey said that Nitesh, an Air Force personnel, as per his family members was posted in Assam. On being informed, the ASP, CO along with dog squad and a forensic unit rushed to the spot and initiated investigation and collected evidence.
The police said that according to the family members Nitesh had some monetary dispute with his friend Pradeep Yadav. “Every aspect of the incident is being investigated. The body was sent for postmortem. Action will be taken on the basis of a complaint and other necessary findings,” the ASP said. tnn
