PATNA: Most petitioners from various districts who turned up at the CM’s “janata darbar” on Monday urged him to issue necessary instructions to the authorities concerned to free their private land forcibly occupied by local goons.
Among them was a woman from Begusarai district whose husband is a “divyang”. The woman informed the CM that she had lodged a complaint against the man who occupied her land, but no action was taken.
Two petitioners from Muzaffarpur complained that they had not been paid compensation after the death of their kin due to the coronavirus. Among the petitioners was a person whose mother had succumbed to coronavirus. Another person told the CM that his father-in-law had died due to Covid.
However, majority of petitioners complained about forcible occupation of their private land by the bullies. In most cases, the bullies were also hurling life threats, they said.
Such petitioners were from Saharsa, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar, Lakhisarai, Purnia, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Madhepura, Sheohar and Begusarai. The CM directed the revenue and land reforms department to find solution to the grievances raised by the petitioners.
Overall, 107 petitioners turned up at the janata darbar that was held at the auditorium on the premises of the CM secretariat. The complaints pertained to various departments.

Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Alok Kumar Mehta, Shrawan Kumar, Madan Sahani, Chandrashekhar and Leshi Singh.
